In today's fast-paced, click-driven media environment, exaggeration and sensationalism from influencers are common. Product iteration and brand evolution, however, are completely normal – and necessary – across every industry.
No, this is not cost-cutting. The key reason is: the BMS hardware is different between models.
The base model (non-Bluetooth) uses a BMS without a wireless module. Its circuit layout is simpler, and the original design uses 3-wire silicone cable – fully tested and rated for the required current.
The Bluetooth model has an additional Bluetooth module integrated into the BMS. This changes the BMS board layout, connector placement, and power routing. To accommodate the module and maintain clean internal routing, the design uses braided flat copper wire.
In short: different BMS → different internal architecture → different wire type.
We did not take the same BMS and swap cheaper wires. These are two distinct BMS designs optimized for different feature sets.
Both wire types are safe, tested, and meet specifications. The braided flat wire on the Bluetooth model is not “better” – it’s simply different, because the hardware is different.
Visual thickness alone does not determine ampacity or safety.
We conducted real load tests on the 314Ah base model under maximum continuous discharge for 1 hour:
3-wire surface temperature rise: ≤31℃ (87.8°F)
Silicone insulation rating: typically 200°C

The misunderstanding arose because these YouTuber compared two different models from different production timelines, mistakenly assuming we secretly downgraded the wiring to cut costs.
Here are the facts regarding our 12V 314Ah MINI series:
The Base Model (Non-Bluetooth): Launched around June 2025, the original design utilized a reliable three-wire connection. As part of our continuous manufacturing evolution, we recently began transitioning this model to our latest braided flat-wiring design. Currently, inventory in our global warehouses is in a standard rolling transition, meaning shipments may contain either version. Both pass identical, strict quality controls.
Feature-Rich Models (Bluetooth / Built-in Heating): To accommodate advanced circuitry, these specialized models have always utilized the braided flat-wiring design since day one.
There is absolutely no "A-B quality" bait-and-switch. Every single battery shipped meets WattCycle’s rigorous performance and safety standards.
Our oversight was a matter of communication, not engineering.
In the past, we treated internal wiring configurations as standard engineering details—much like how an automaker uses different internal harnesses or components between a vehicle's base trim and premium trim. We genuinely did not anticipate that users would compare the internal layouts of completely different product models.
However, we hear the community's feedback loud and clear. We fully realize now that in the DIY and solar community, total transparency regarding product iterations is a core brand responsibility.
