  Schumacher sells some charger models w/little in way of voltage/current regulation. It's possible that it applied voltage that caused the bms to shut down.

  Not an expert, but fr what I understand about bms, it's either ON or OFF. No throttle. Others may have better info. If its On/Off, then you probably need a dc/dc charger.

• Bumped and disconnected the neg from the charger, now won't except a charge and is at 5v.

  How hard did you bump the batt terminal? Did you see sparks on the disconnect?
