I have the 12volt 314Ah Mini (not smart) battery. Per the specifications, the max continuous discharge current is 200A, but if I understand correctly, the BMS has over-current discharge protection of 600+\-50Amps. I plan on installing a 3000W 12V inverter.
If I calculated correctly, the inverter could draw a max current of 3000/12=250A. Plan on connecting the inverter with 4/0 awg copper wire, about 4 feet.
what size fuse should I use? I was planning on a 400A fuse at the battery terminal, but could that damage the battery by exceeding the max discharge rate of 200A. Not sure why the BMS over-current protection is set at 600A.
Im new at this and appreciate any help and insight.
