I have a 2p4s setup at 48v running my boat. I have two batteries sitting at like 70% and all the others are at 99-100%. The two batteries had been in parallel together. But they kept hitting 0 and turning off the system. So I put them in parallel with other batteries. The issue is the charger keeps turning off. I think this is because all the other batteries are at 100% so they stop charging and that gets the charger to turn off. How do I force them into some sort of charging mode? The app charging button doesn't seem to help.
I do not have parallel mode on. When I tried it it had no effect. But I will go and turn it on, on all the batteries. I have also installed a new charger that gives plenty of voltage, it is the batteries that are refusing to take charge. So I suspect it is an internal BMS thing.
Ok I have turned on parallel mode on all batteries. Want to make sure, should all batteries be in parallel mode in a 4S2P setup?
I'm getting conflicting instructions from Wattcycle support. 1st they had me charge all batteries by hand up to 100%. Now they are telling me to drain all 8 batteries until the system drops to under 42V.
Is the right way to recalibrate 100% on BMS by charging to 100% or to discharge?
The two batteries in question are sitting at 12.4V while all the other batteries are higher at 12.7V when all are showing 99-100%
