51.2V 105 aH Version 2 Club Car Install

  • Just finished installing one of the new version 2 105 aH batteries in a 2020 Club Car Tempo for a golfing friend. I really like the upgraded 250 amp BMS and the round SOC display that was able to fit with just minor enlarging into the stock voltmeter display hole in the dash.  I also like the remote on/off power switch that I mount just above the SOC display.  I was able to install the battery after removing a couple of raised plastic areas of the battery floor with multitool.  My only question is why the BMS limits charging current to just over 20 amps?  Other similar cart batteries can handle much higher charging rates which isn't a concern for the normal cart charger but I'd like to use one of these batteries on a portable power station and would like to be able to charge with at least 50 amps

    .

Also, I opened up the battery to take a peak at the build quality and have to say that it is very impressive. Rock solid construction and great wire management. 6 temperature  sensors.
